BKK EWE endeavors to make its website accessible without barriers in accordance with the requirements of paragraph 3 (1) to (4) and paragraph 4 of the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung - BITV 2.0), which were issued on the basis of Section 12d of the German Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Act (Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz - BGG).

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons: Incompatibility with BITV 2.0

• Due to the design specifications (corporate design), there are isolated places where the contrast of foreground and background is not sufficient.
• Our PDF files are currently not designed to be accessible.
• Individual elements do not comply 100% with WAI-ARIA standards for accessible menus and user interaction areas. However, they can still be used to their full extent.
• Our site does not currently have content in sign language.

Creation of this accessibility statement

This declaration was prepared on June 21, 2022 and last reviewed in June 2025.

The initial review of compliance with the requirements was based on a self-assessment carried out in the period from 19.06.2022-21.06.2022.
The current review of compliance with the requirements is based on an assessment carried out by DSG1 GmbH in June 2025.

Based on the review, the website does not comply with the aforementioned requirements. We plan to rectify the known deficiencies by 30.11.2025 at the latest.
