BKK EWE customer testimonials
"I can rely on my health insurance, even if the road gets bumpy."
You've got your training contract in the bag? Congratulations! Then you've made the most important step into your professional life. Now you need a reliable and uncomplicated health insurance company at your side - us, BKK EWE!
At the start of your apprenticeship, you will need to take out your own health insurance for the first time. You can choose us as your health insurance provider for your own membership if you:
If you start an apprenticeship outside the EWE Group and decide to join another health insurance fund, it is generally not possible to return to BKK EWE at a later date.
When you start your own health insurance, there are a few formalities to take care of, which we will be happy to take care of for you as far as possible, e.g. applying for your social security card and sending your membership certificate to your employer. Simply fill out our membership application form and we will take care of the rest.
It's easy to switch your health insurance provider to us: Fill out our online application form. We'll take care of the rest for you.
With the health insurance, every trainee is also insured for long-term care. Regardless of whether the need for care arises at a younger age or at a later age, the insurance provides reliable protection. Information is available from BKK EWE Pflegekasse.
The social security card with the pension insurance number can already be applied for before starting the training. We will be happy to help with this. The insurance periods are credited to a pension account at the German Pension Insurance. Those who attend school beyond the age of 17 should have the "Schulzeitenbescheinigung" issued. These periods can be saved on the pension account.
If something happens during training at work or on work-related trips, or if an occupational illness occurs, accident insurance will pay out. Trainees are covered by statutory accident insurance from day one. The contributions for accident insurance are generally paid in full by the employer.
Whether you have questions about health insurance, our benefits or anything else you want to know - we'll be happy to help.
