BKK EWE has a stable financial basis. This stability is passed on to members in the form of a corresponding contribution rate and is a sign of sound financial planning. Fluctuating contribution rates according to the cash situation must be avoided.
This is the composition of our contribution rate
The contribution rate is made up of two parts: The contribution rate, which is the same for all health insurance funds, and an additional contribution for each individual health insurance fund.
1. uniform contribution rate
The uniform contribution rate for all health insurance funds is 14.6%.
2. additional contribution for individual health insurance funds
At 0.9%, BKK EWE's additional contribution in 2024 is the same as in the previous year, but below the SHI average.
The average additional contribution of all statutory health insurance funds will be 1.7% in 2024.

Additional contribution paid by employer and employees
Since 2019, the additional contribution has also been borne equally by employers and employees. In 2024, income subject to contributions will be taken into account up to a maximum of the contribution assessment ceiling of € 5,175.00 per month or € 62,100.00 per year.
