• Arrangement of specialist appointments within 4 weeks within a reasonable distance from the place of residence; this time limit also applies to the arrangement of scheduled preventive check-ups for children
• Arrangement of appointments for psychotherapeutic acute treatment within 2 weeks
• Support in the search for a family doctor
• Referral for acute cases within the framework of a nationwide standardized procedure for initial assessment

A referral is required to arrange specialist appointments (exception: acute cases, gynecologist and ophthalmologist appointments).

If no appointment can be arranged within 4 weeks, outpatient treatment appointments in hospitals should be used. This does not apply to routine examinations that can be postponed or trivial illnesses such as colds. It is not possible to arrange dental appointments in this way.
