Covid consulting services

Hotline advises on long/post-covid as well as post-vac

Even after the end of the Corona pandemic, the health effects of Covid-19 are still present for many people.
With Long- or Post-Covid, new diseases have developed that are challenging for those affected as well as for medicine and science.

In addition to professional advice on Long Covid, the hotline is also open to people who are struggling with long-term sequelae after corona vaccination, known as post-vac syndrome. The hotline staff were trained by a team of physicians from the Institute of General Medicine at Hannover Medical School.

How and when can I reach the hotline?
By calling 0511 / 120 2900 from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Who can use the offer?

The offer is aimed at all citizens who need advice on long/post-covid or post-vac. This can be the affected persons themselves or their relatives, employers and employees. The offer is independent of their health insurance.

What does the consulting hotline offer?

The counseling hotline is a nationwide central point of contact for providing information about the disease, offering counseling and referring people to contact points. Those affected and interested receive support in finding a way into the care system, in obtaining general information about the clinical picture, in finding out relevant addresses and contacts, and in obtaining concrete answers to individual questions. The specially trained counselors take every concern seriously, listen, offer support and point out perspectives.

What can't the consulting hotline do?

The counselors are not physicians, so medical advice and diagnosis are excluded. Therefore, the counseling hotline is in no way a substitute for medical contact. It is not possible to arrange appointments with general practitioners or specialists, as the appointment service is responsible for this (Tel. 116 117). If you have specific social security questions regarding sick pay entitlement, rehabilitation and pension applications, please contact BKK EWE directly.
