Medical assistance
We will pay the costs of home nursing care less the legally stipulated co-payment if hospital treatment is necessary but cannot be carried out or if the necessity is thereby eliminated.
Also supportive to medical treatment
Home health care may also be used to support outpatient medical treatment when no one living in the household can provide care. Home nursing care includes medical assistance. In addition, basic care and domestic services are provided in individual cases. In the event of serious illness or acute exacerbation of an illness, in particular after a stay in hospital or after outpatient surgery, we will cover the costs of the necessary basic care and domestic care according to medical necessity for up to four weeks, provided there is no need for nursing care.
An extension is only possible in medically justified exceptional cases.
