Sick pay
Safety in the event of a long-term illness
By paying sick pay, we give you and your family the economic security you need in the event of a long-term illness. If you become ill as an employee, you will receive the legally highest possible sick pay from us after the continued payment of wages has expired. As a rule, the statutory (employee) contributions to pension, unemployment and long-term care insurance will be deducted from your sick pay. You are exempt from health insurance contributions while you are receiving sick pay. You are entitled to sickness benefit for the same illness for a period of 78 weeks within each three-year period.
